The Malbork Castle is situated on the right bank the river Nogat. It is a gothic, brick, fortified castle surrounded by a moat. It was built between XIII-XV, by the Teutonic Knights. It is one of the most valuable monuments of Polish architecture. In 1994 it was recognized as a monument of history and in 1997 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List.
