Wieliczka Salt Mine is located in the south of Poland approx. 17 km from Krakow. It is the oldest polish company which has more than 700 years. The Wieliczka Salt Mine was inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List in 1978. Currently, the mine is a some kind of labyrinth connected by tunnels. The whole length of the tunnels is 3000 km. The mine has 9 floors which the last one is located at a depth of 327 meters and approx. 3000 chambers.
The tour includes the sightseeing of ‘Tourist Route” with St. KInga’s Chapel and with the total length of 2 kilometers. On the route there are 22 chambers connected by tunnels, sculptures, reliefs, the ancient mine shafts, the mining machinery and the mysterious salt lakes. During the tour you will also visit the underground Krakow Salt Works Museum.
Individual full day tour by comfortable car with private English speaking driver who will pick you up from your hotel at a chosen time in the morning and take you directly to Wieliczka (3 hours of one- way journey). In Wieliczka you will join to the guided tour in a group “Tourist Route” with English speaking guide. The sightseeing inside the Mine takes about 2,5 hour. After sightseeing the Wieliczka Salt Mine you will have 3 options to choose:
A) You can have a free time e.g. for the lunch. After that our driver will take you back to Lodz. (lunch is not included in the price)
B) our driver can take you back directly to your hotel in Lodz
C) You can have a 3- hour Krakow Old Town walk with a private English speaking guide who will show you the best places of Krakow Old Town. After that our driver will take you back to Lodz.
